Lenina and Benard go on a date. Benard is very anti social and is against free love.
Lenina is seeing more than one guy.

THIRD DISCUSSION:

Bernard and Lenina go to an Indian reservation and meet John
John is an arian and is not allowed to do indian rituals because his mother, Linda, was practicing rituals from the civilized society
Lenina is disgusted with Linda because she gave birth to John and society teaches them not to have children
Bernard concludes that John's mother is the woman the director had taken to the reservation 25 years ago
Bernard brings Linda and John back to London
John is fascinated with Lenina and breaks into her house

John calls the director "daddy" and the director resigns.
Bernard gets to stay and becomes a "big shot".

Fifth Discussion

Lenina was getting all up Johns grill, and john said he loved her. That goes against socitety, Lenina just wants to hit it and quit it.
John wants to stay with her because he loves her.
Johns mom was a whore and he didnt want the women he loved to be a whore. So she was called a whore by him and he hits her.
John was not being fair becasue he was blaming her for being bad when he was just as bad.
This book is a amplified version of how life is today.

sixth discussion

they are all in mons office.
Mon explains that shakespeare is forbidden because people have to be stupid.
helmholts and bernard are going to be exiled, but mon looks at that as a reward.
john and mon start arguing about religion.
john says that soma is "christianity without tears".
bernard and helmholts say that they have to go.
john starts to whip himself in a lighthouse.
john kicks a reporter in the face so they will respect him and leave him alone which leads to more violence.
john refuses to whip himself when he thinks of lenina.
john whips lenina.
john kills himself.
